Energy and Environmental Law

Procurement law and construction law have been our profession for 25 years. Whether it concerns schools, homes, offices or other buildings; Boot Advocaten supports tendering, (re)financing and contracting. We advise and assist in the realization of (changing) strategic objectives. Boot Advocaten assists its clients in complex project and area developments from the first strategy discussion up to and including tendering, realization and operation. Recently we have been asked a lot for making existing buildings more sustainable, project development and local energy generation.

Boot Advocaten mainly does its work for Bouw- en Vastgoed in advance, and advises on matters such as extension of construction time, additional and less work, deductible quantities, cost-increasing circumstances, delivery and the obligation to warn.

Boot Advocaten also advises after delivery on issues such as hidden defects, design errors, implementation errors, construction time delays, damage as a result of construction work and (CAR) insurance disputes.

In project and area development, we assist with both new construction and urban redevelopment. An important success factor is that we apply knowledge of private, public and European law, in combination with a sense of political relations and insight into technical specifications, planning and budget.

Since the economic crisis in the real estate sector, land operations are often under pressure and obligations cannot be met. Boot Advocaten is very experienced in renegotiating and/or breaking up contracts (including construction claims), unbundling partnerships, litigating about non-compliance with obligations (Financial Recovery) or actually bringing about bankruptcies in the construction and real estate sectors. .

Boot Advocaten has extensive experience in construction law cases and has supervised large real estate projects, such as het City Hall The HagueBabylonZurichtoren en Hermitage Amsterdam.
