Mr. Ruud Winter

​

Mr. R. R. Winter worked as a councilor at the Trade and Industry Appeals Tribunal, the highest court in the Netherlands in the field of economic planning law for 35 years until his retirement on Feb. 1, 2020. He was president of that Board from 1999 to October 2012.

 

During that presidency, he was attached to the Administrative Law Division of the Council of State as State Counsel in Extraordinary Service. He also served as president of the Dutch Lawyers Association from 2007 to 2008. During his judicial career, he regularly taught judges abroad in the practical application of European Union law in the context of European Union enlargement. Because of his expertise in the application of EU law, he was asked to join Boot Advocaten's ESG team
