mr. Alexandra A. Jurgens-Boot

Alexandra Jurgens-Boot was sworn in as a lawyer after graduating from Leiden University in 1989. She has worked as a partner at Houthoff, Andersen Legal and KPMG Legal and founded her own niche firm, Boot Advocaten, in 2003. She has already won the title of “Real Estate Lawyer of the Year” twice.

 

Through her in-depth knowledge and effective negotiation methods, she is able to quickly identify different interests of the parties involved and deliver tailor-made work. Alexandra is therefore a permanent advisor to investors, listed companies, project developers, contractors, housing associations and governments and has been involved in many major area developments and infrastructural works.

 

Alexandra specializes in the sectors of construction and real estate law, energy law, healthcare, procurement and public-private partnerships. In addition to these specializations, she also focuses on area development and sustainability. This is partly shaped by Energy Service Companies (ESCos). The ESCo network, of which Alexandra is a founding member and strategy member, improves the ability of building users to acquire knowledge and explore the possibilities in the field of ESCo's. In addition to the ESCo network, Alexandra is also founder and CEO of the Blue Building Institute. This knowledge institute promotes sustainable human well-being in the built environment through the design, financing and management of this environment.

In addition to these positions, Alexandra has also taught as a university lecturer at TU Delft, Nyenrode Business University and the Institute for Construction Law, is the author of several handbooks and has published articles in renowned magazines and newspapers, including PropertyNL and the FD. Alexandra also held the position of deputy secretary at the Arbitration Board for the Construction Companies and functioned as a supervisor at GGZ Delfland and Vereniging Eigen Huis. In addition, she is a much sought-after speaker for courses, debates and symposia.
