Report Meeting
The construction law of tomorrow (incl. excursion)
Monday afternoon April 16, 2018
I'm just trying to think about the future and not be sad," said Elon Musk during his TED Interview in 2017, in which he revealed, among other things, his plans to build tunnels under Los Angeles to end traffic jams. in the city. Musk is a great source of inspiration for innovation and sustainability - including in construction. According to Musk, there is no escaping it: we do have to become more sustainable. The number of sustainable construction projects is also increasing in the Netherlands and the emphasis on circularity, also in the legal domain, is increasing.
In the light of these developments, the Young and Renewal Committee of the VBR-A organized a very successful meeting in ABN AMRO's CIRCL circular pavilion, with the theme 'Tomorrow's construction law'.
The topic was discussed from different angles by four expert speakers. The opening was provided by mr. AA Jurgens-Boot, who gave an introduction about Well Building Standard certifications and the tendering aspects of circular construction. mr. AM Klijn discussed the public law aspects of circular construction, in particular the materials passport. mr. AZR Koning took those present on a presentation about the Environmental Performance of Buildings in the Building Decree. Finally, EPW van Baar discussed the tendering, contracting and technical aspects of ABN AMRO's circular pavilion.
The meeting was concluded with a tour and drinks in CIRCL.
